Jam Camp Goes Community-Supported

Since its beginning two years ago, Tita Ugalde’s Freestyle Jam Camp has aimed not only to facilitate the sharing of jam wisdom but also to demonstrate the possibilities of local freestyle classes/camps. One of the larger goals is to build a roadmap so others can host their own camps easily.

This year, she’s also reaching out to the jam community to invite us to support Jam Camp. Previous camps have been funded from generous donations, some registration fees, and Tita’s bank account. She’s set up a Kickstarter project so we can all participate, get some cool schwag as thank you’s for our support, and help her cover some of the increased costs (field rentals are expensive!) this year.

Check out her project, and if you can spare $5 or more, help make this great event happen. Even better – the FPA has pledged to match the funds raised through Kickstarter in order to help Tita get to the point where that Jam Camp Recipe is ready to be shared with us all

Oh, and if you can make it to the Los Angeles area January 2-3 and think it would be cool to be tutored by world champions for a weekend, sign up for camp!
