Randy Silvey bested a field of fifteen of the top freestylers in the world and was named Super Hein at the Gauther Brothers’ Seaside Super Hein competition in Seaside, Oregon on March 27, 2004.
Silvey scored the most points across three formats of freestyle – pairs, best trick and mob-op – to defeat Jeff Kruger by two points for the title. 2003 world pairs champ Dave Lewis was third, five points back, and last year’s Super Hein champion Matt Gauthier finished fourth, ten points behind Silvey.
